Over years of experimenting with makeup, hair, and beauty products, I’ve accumulated knowledge, tips, and tricks on how to do things that have people asking, “how did you do that?”. Since sharing is caring, today I care to share with you some of these tips and tricks.
How to do perfect polka dot nail art
With my latest manicure, I made my accent nails “pop” with metallic polish, glitter, and polka dots! A few people have asked how I got such perfectly round and even polka dots, and the answer is…with a bobby pin. First, put a few drops of polish on a piece of paper. Dip the round tip of the bobby pin into the polish, and then gently press onto your nail. And there you have it – the perfect polka dots.

The sock leg warmer bun
Before you go snipping away at old socks to make hair donuts for sock buns, consider the idea of using a leg warmer. How perfect is it? You don’t need to cut it because both ends are open, they are about twice the length of a sock, and they are thicker. Longer and thicker means bigger (and better) bun. For an even bigger bun, put one leg warmer into the other one, and roll them together. The result is a ridiculously large bun. This was actually Madelon’s idea (she’s a pro when it comes to hair), and she was the one who found our perfect leg warmers, too – black and fuzzy ones for $2 at Daiso!

How to get your nail polish to dry faster
Ruining a fresh mani with dents is not ideal. Actually, it sucks and it’s annoying. There’s two things that I do now to finish my mani to greatly lower the chance of dents. First, I use a quick dry clear coat, and once that completely dries after a few minutes, I run my nails under really cold water for 15-20 seconds to set the polish. Easy, right?

Love you hair! I don’t know how you girls can create such beautiful hair styles. It seems like no matter how hard I try, it never works. Guess I have to try harder.

I’ve been meaning to buy a pair of long socks to do this, but I keep forgetting! Now I know to go to Daiso – thanks for the tip
I wasn’t sure if a thinner sock would work better than a thicker sock, but looks like it worked for you!
You’re welcome! I’m happy it was helpful info! Hope you find it
