As promised, here is part 2 of my post on my favourite beauty products. This part features my favourite eye, hair, and nail products. If you missed part 1 featuring my favourite face and lip products, read it here.
Eye makeup is by far my favourite makeup of all! I don’t have a huge problem with skipping foundation and lipstick for an everyday look, but I definitely can’t go without eyeliner and mascara! Ever since I started working a 9-5 job, I’ve had to cut out unnecessary steps in my morning routine because I am not a morning person, and I always want to sleep ‘just five more minutes’, leaving me little time to get ready.
My everyday look now consists of winged eyeliner, mascara, blush, and lip balm. When I have more time, or when I am going out at night, I’ll wear eyeshadow, too. Here are my favourite eye products to help me achieve my desired looks for both day and night!
EYES

1. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
I discovered this product years ago, and I haven’t looked back since! Even though it’s a primer to be used before eyeshadow application, I use it even when I am not planning on using eyeshadow. It gives eyelids a nice matte look, and when using eyeshadow, it makes application easier and makes eyeshadow appear more pigmented. Not everyone experiences the eyeshadow creasing issue, but I definitely do, so I swear by this product to help keep my eyeshadow in place throughout the day. It works like a charm!
2. MAC Eye Kohl Eyeliner in ‘Smolder’
I have been using this eyeliner for as long as I have been using makeup. I’ve tried other liners in between, but this one is my ultimate favourite. MAC’s eye kohl is a soft-on pencil liner that provides rich colour with a matte finish. ‘Smolder’ is a rich, dark black; and because this is a soft-on pencil, it is easy to smudge, which is perfect for doing smokey eyes.
3. MAC Liquidlast Liner in ‘Point Black’
Super black. Super waterproof. I do winged eyeliner every day, and the brush applicator makes that easy. This is a seriously waterproof liner, so if you don’t have a strong makeup remover, I wouldn’t recommend it. I use extremely oily makeup removing pads (think baby oil), so it’s not a problem. I have tried removing this liner with basic liquid remover and it does not come off.
4. Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette
Known as the universally flattering eyeshadow palette, this palette is often sold out at Sephora. They recently got some back in stock both in stores and online, so I picked one up. All 12 colours are beautiful, very pigmented, and great for blending and mixing into different looks. My favourites of the 12 are: Sin, Half Baked, Darkhorse, and Hustle. As if the beautiful shadows don’t have their customers sold already, Urban Decay decided to include a mini size eyeshadow primer potion, too!
5. L’oreal Voluminous Mascara in ‘Blackest Black’
This is the best mascara I have ever used. I’ve tried a lot of drugstore brands, and even higher end brands, but this has been deemed my favourite. It is extremely black, not clumpy, doesn’t smudge, and lives up to its name of giving your lashes lots of volume.
HAIR AND NAILS

1. Moroccan Oil
In terms of ‘styling’ my hair, I do close to nothing. I actually don’t even comb my hair (I hope nobody could tell before I said that). My hair routine is shampoo, condition, moroccan oil, and blow dry. My mom bought moroccan oil as per the recommendation of her hair stylist, and after I tried it, I really liked it. Just a few drops worked into damp hair makes my hair feel a lot softer and smoother once it’s dry.
2. NYC In a New York Colour Minute QUICK DRY Nail Polish
I discovered this quick dry top coat after reading about it from the cutest blogger I follow - Bunniebar. This top coat dries seriously fast and (ladies, get ready to be amazed…) it leaves my polish unchipped for 8 – 10 days! It gets better. It only costs $1.99. It’s the best top coat I’ve used with amazing results, so I highly recommend it! The price may vary across drugstores, but not by much. I got mine at London Drugs for just under $3.
3. Essie – ‘Fiji’ and Revlon ‘Peach Petal’
Light pink is my go-to nail polish colour. It is feminine and appropriate for so many types of occasions, making it versatile and easy to wear. My collection of nail polish is about 90% shades of pink, so I’ve tried my fair share of different pinks in all different brands. My favourites are Essie – Fiji and Revlon – Peach Petal. Fiji is an opaque, creamy, pale pink, while Peach Petal is more of a powder pale pink, with a touch of peach. If you’re looking for the perfect pink(s), look no further.
Well, this concludes my feature on my favourite beauty products. I know it was a lot to read but I hope that the information was helpful and that you got some inspiration to try some new products. Sharing is caring, and I love sharing with you the products that I love!
Now it’s your turn to share with ME! What are some of your beauty must-haves?
Thank you for reading!

Omg we have a very similar taste! I have almost all of your eye products in my HG Eye Makeup post. I agree – I also use eyeliner and mascara every day and only shadows when I go out which I also mentioned in my post! I’m also working on a hair care post in which I mention I never brush my hair or do anything to it and Essie Fiji’s one of my fave nail polishes too! Anyways great choices, I hope you get my little package soon. I also included my HG Proclaim hair oil for you to try out but I didn’t know you already use the Moroccan Oil brand. Maybe give it a try and compare!
I’m so excited for your package! You are so kind! I read your review on the hair oil you use and it sounds equally amazing as Moroccan oil but for a fraction of the price. Super excited to try it. Thanks again, I’ll let you know when I receive it
Love liquid eyeliner. I wear it almost every day
