S&S Beauty Review: Stila and Rimmel

Stila Liquid Eye Liner, Stila Brow Colour, Rimmel Lash Accelerator Serum

1. STILA STAY ALL DAY WATERPROOF LIQUID EYE LINER (INTENSE BLACK)

With a super fine precision felt tip, this eyeliner actually speeds up my makeup routine. It’s so easy to apply, and makes the whole application process a lot less dreadful. One thing I remember disliking the most about my MAC liner was that it would get very thick and goopy after a while, and the brush tip would get really fat, making it difficult to get a thin, winged line. The consistency of this one is much more inky, and since it’s all contained inside of a pen, it won’t dry out as quick. I am super happy with it, and will definitely continue to use it.

2. STILA STAY ALL DAY WATERPROOF BROW COLOUR (MEDIUM)

Before using this brow pen, I was using brown eye shadow to fill my brows. Having nothing to compare it with, I was satisfied with doing it this way. Only after using this Stila brow pen did I realize that the eye shadow filler was a bit harsh and didn’t create a clean look. This pen creates a very natural look that is great for every day wear. It’s actually so natural that I sometimes think it’s not quite dark enough when I’m going for a move heavy, nighttime look. Overall, I am loving it for daily wear, and highly recommend it if you don’t have sparse brows and are just looking for something for a light fill.

3. RIMMEL LASH ACCELERATOR SERUM

This is the first eyelash enhancement product I’ve ever used. I saw it at the drugstore one day, and didn’t want to purchase it until I read some online reviews. My initial concerns with these types of products is that they are a gimmick and don’t work, will damage my eyes and lashes, and will sting my eyes. I’m happy to report that I didn’t experience any of those nasty effects. I’ve used it for two weeks now, which is not that long, but I have come up with some conclusions about it. In a nutshell, my lashes haven’t grown in length (I wasn’t expecting them to), but they do feel stronger, thicker, and less prone to natural fall-out. Considering it is a $10 product, it has been as good as I expected it to be. I’ll give it another two weeks, and see what results it will bring after one month of daily application.

As per usual, I’d love to hear any of your comments, so please leave them below!

This came just at the right time – I love my MAC Blacktrack Fluidline gel liner but I also want to try out a new liquid liner. This Stila one is on my list for the next time I visit Sephora :) .

I love liquid brow fillers! I currently use the Anastasia one, but it has a bit too much of a red tone. I usually finish off with their brow powder too, for a defined, and full look since I have super sparse brows.

Agreed! I use the Stila waterproof liquid eyeliner, and it’s been my favourite eyeliner so far! Stays on all day and the brush is amazing.

@Melissa I’ve heard good things about Anastasia, but haven’t tried myself. I’ve had luck with just using a brown eyeshadow, so if you find a great brown shade in a shadow, you should try that. Great for a more intense fill :)

@Diana Yes! Someone else who can attest to this! The super fine brush tip is the best part in my opinion. Makes it so easy to use. I absolutely love it!

@Whitney Drop by your local Sephora or makeup store that sells Stila and give it a try. I did that before purchasing it, and I was totally sold!
